Here is Why You Should Consider Surrogacy

Nowadays, more and more couples choose surrogacy over a traditional pregnancy. To those who have never thought at it like an alternative possibility, we would like to explain why some couple actually do it. There are two kids of surrogacy: Traditional surrogate and gestational surrogate. In the first case, a woman gets artificially inseminated with the father’s sperm and carries the baby until the birth.

The second case is connected to a technique called “in vitro fertilization,” with which you gather eggs from the mother with sperm of the father and place the embryo into the uterus of a surrogate. So why would people do that? There’re lots of reasons. Sometimes, it has to do with infertility. Hundreds of thousands of couples across the United States experience infertility and decide to grow a family despite the difficulties.

Another reason could be genetic challenges. Maybe one or both parents have genetic conditions they don’t want to pass on to their future kids. Also, in some case because of medical conditions the mum cannot safely carry a child for 9 months. Some other times, there is literally the impossibility of procreate and have sex. Last but not least, it can be a personal choice. Every couple is free to make their own choice and surrogacy could be the choice they want to make, their way of creating a family.
