This Elementary School Had Every Student Paint One Rock In His Own Style

This school had a special task for its students. The teachers of Sharon elementary school in Newburgh, Indiana, decided to realize a project together with the help of the students. Every single student was asked to color his unique individual stone.

The stones were then put together to create a path outside the school. The project was inspired by the book Only One You. According to the book: “There’s only one you in this great big world”. The idea is to encourage the uniqueness of each student, to teach them the importance of staying true to themselves.

Every student should be prepared for the journey by his or her parents, each one of them should be encouraged to find his or her own way regardless where the crowd is heading. The project was initiated by teacher Jessica Moyes. It reached almost 50,000 shares on Facebook!
