Zoodles Will Be Your New Favorite Meal

Spaghetti is one of those food staples that seems to be universally enjoyed by everyone.  Spaghetti is hearty, flavorful and comforting. However, there has been a recent trend where people have been moving away from the constant consumption of grains and carbs. Unfortunately for these dieters, they also have to resist and give up eating dishes with past in them.  Unfortunately, this includes spaghetti.

One healthier alternative to carb rich, red meat, cheesy spaghetti is to find simple substitutions for all of the common ingredients. You can substitute pasta for zoodles, or zucchini noodles.  You can substitute processed tomato sauce for freshly made tomato sauce, and you can switch out the fatty red meat in the meatballs or meat sauce for a leaner option such as ground turkey or chicken. Also, if you enjoy parmesan cheese on your spaghetti, different brands offer yummy cheese alternatives that melt like the real thing.

This healthier version of spaghetti is extremely quick and easy to make.  It also honestly tastes amazing, and some may even argue that it tastes a whole lot better. So, grab a bowl and serve yourself some spaghetti.
