Congratulations to this new Southern California mom on her new baby! She always wished that her fourth birth would be a fast one, but this seemed a little faster than she could have asked for.
Erica Davidovich and her husband, Niv,called an Uber when she started having contractions on Friday. Since her previous three children took hours to arrive, she thought she would have time to make it to the hospital. To her and her husband’s surprise, she literally gave birth in the Uber.
Raymond Telles, the Uber driver at the time, says that he tried his best to get the couple to the hospital as fast as he could, but it was too late. Telles had to pull over in a parking lot and NIv delivered a healthy baby boy in the back seat.
“I didn’t push. Nothing happened. Somehow, the gravity, the baby just slid out. My incredible husband caught the baby,” Erica Davidovich said.
The best part is, Telles visited the couple in the hospital and bought them an Uber onesie as a new baby gift.
